This time of the year people get in the Christmas spirit, have friends round and have routine changes, attend parties, go out, drink more and have friends around. We tend to eat more, our fitness suffers as we think we do not have time to exercise. At the start of the New Year all the gym memberships come in to play only to be used till end of January and then all the will power goes again.
Fitness should be a way of life not just after Christmas.
We are surrounded by tempting treats that are hard to resist and why should we its only once a year. Just try not to go too mad, keep everything in moderation. Try and get a brisk walk on most of the holiday period, it will get you out of the house, clear your mind and help to burn off some of those Christmas calories as well. Get the whole family involved for a walk. There are some lovely places around.
